What we expect from KampSight and Card Processing for the Labor Day Weekend

The busy Labor Day weekend has finally arrived! The Friday of Labor Day weekend is traditionally among the top 5 check-in days of the year. (In fact, it was the biggest check-in day in 2009.)
Friday, July 2nd this year was the busiest check-in day in KOA history, exceeding last year’s Labor Day Friday by over 300 check-ins! And while you may have noticed a slight slowdown in card processing in the afternoon on that July 2nd, KampSight performed very well. There were no credit card errors or KampSight server issues to report.
If advanced reservations are an indicator, we can expect this Friday to be similar to July 2nd. We expect similar or better performance from KampSight this weekend. Our summer development and testing has been focused on making sure you have a successful Labor Day weekend!
As a reminder, our “equalizer” program is still in place to ensure a smooth flow of card processing. As a result, you may see this message:
